For this part of my blog I looked at my high school's website. They do not require teachers to keep up a class website, but provide the links to those who have one. The teachers who do have websites included various information, such as information to help students get to know them, resources to use in their classes, and announcements about assignments. One of the teachers that has a website is my former English teacher, Mrs. Paul. She has an entire page dedicated to everything she uses in her class throughout the whole year, so her students constantly have access to whatever they need. https://www.seabreezehigh.org/teacher-websites

I have learned so much about how to use technology effectively through this course, as well as taken note of some useful resources to employ in the future. Designing the news letter got me more familiar with Microsoft Word, and I was so proud of it when I had finished. I was so excited that I had made something so polished, and even more excited that it looked like something that would come out of a real classroom. Another valuable resource I plan on using is CPALMS. I love how everything I needs is in one place and it aligns with Florida's standards. If I am ever stuck and want to find a new lesson for my classroom that is definitely what I'll turn to. These tools will help me become an effective educator and I'm so glad this course has shown them to me.

My experience on PB Works was not a negative experience, but at the same time it is not a resource I wish to continue using. To me it was more difficult to use than other platforms that have the same purpose. I've used several services to create webpages and while I didn't dislike it, I preferred it the least. I feel that it's appearance is dated and limited amount of functions one has decreases the quality of the work. My favorite thing about this website we use every week is that I could make it my own and better express my ideas. PB works was very limiting, and I did not like it's layout. I don't see myself using this with my students in the future, but maybe services that are similar.
