I have really enjoyed my experience in EME2040. It has exposed me to many different and useful forms of technology that I will be able to implement throughout my career. I worked in an asynchronous section, which I both loved and disliked. I liked the flexibility of the class and the way I could work it around my schedule. However, without having class in person, sometimes it was a bit hard to understand assignments. Something else about the class being online that made it node difficult was difference in complexity between assignments. Some were super simple and took no time, and some were very complicated and took a big chunk of time. There was no in between which made it hard for me personally to stay on task. The assignments that were big and complex seemed daunting before starting, leading me to do all my other work and scrambling to finish in time, or pushing the small assignments off in favor of work for my other classes, leading to me scrambling to finish on time. If the assignments were a little more median in complexity/difficulty I feel that I could have stayed engaged and on task better. I do have a feeling that this is only because the class was asynchronous, however.
An OER is a resource one can find online, and it is open to be freely accessed and used by the public. There is no price to use, remix, or edit the said resource. They are specifically educational, and help teachers share knowledge to their students and among colleagues. An OER that I found that I think I will find helpful is "0-Kindergarten Eureka Math." It has many lessons and worksheets regarding Kindergarten level math, and it is all organized on Google Drive. I have linked it below.
I have liked working on the PowerPoint assignment. I love getting to be creative and working with different templates and tools to make a fun project. The only thing about this assignment is that there is so much that goes into it I've spent almost as much time revising and reworking to fit everything in as I have spent creating. I have even had to scrap entire presentations or topics and start over because I couldn't neatly and coherently fit in everything listed in the requirements. Overall, I love these types of assignments where I get to apply what I've learned while simultaneously get to create something fun.

Hi Catey! I agree with you that there is a big of complexity between easy and hard assignments/projects, and sometimes it's hard for us to understand some of the instructions without asking the professor(s) directly (via Zoom or in-person). However, if we can start doing the assignments as soon as possible, we will have more time to double-check our work and avoid scrambling and trying to submit things in-time.
